Harvesting System |
|
The last few years have seen a dramatic rise in the watering requirements for the garden. Coupled with this the problem of global warming and climate change have led to a drop in rainfall throughout the year, particularly over the summer months. It is very possible that hosepipe bans and drought orders will become commonplace during this period of the year. As you are aware these bans prohibit the use of a hosepipe and irrigation systems, leaving you to water the garden with a watering can, a very time consuming job and in most cases impractical on larger, well planted gardens. Whilst water butts offer some form of rainwater storage, 100 litres is not enough to provide sufficient water for the hottest, driest months, June, July, August and September. THIS IS WHERE WE CAN HELP! We have been able to design a rainwater harvesting system by using our experience and contacts within the irrigation business. This system helps collect some of the 24,000 litres of rainwater that comes off an average house roof. Our system can be adapted to tie in with existing water buts and existing water irrigation systems. Rainwater is by far the best way of keeping your garden healthy. Tap water has been processed and treated whereas rainwater is natural. Rainwater is better for the plants. By harvesting your rainwater you are making a positive eco step towards the environment.
